Re: Very overdue update!

SUPER YAY on the no cancer dealio!!! :-D As for the tetanus shot, I had a similar experience. My sick child had barfed all over the cabinets in the kitchen and I was hurridly wiping them down. I didn't notice that there was a small nick in the wood and when I swiped my hand across it hard, my fingernail caught it and drove a sharp inch-long strip of wood DEEP underneath my fingernail. Oh. My. GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Now I know why they torture people using that method. It was the most agonizing pain I've ever experienced (including natural childbirth - with ripping of lady parts, no anesthetic). Annnnnyyyway, to make a really long story short, I had the pointy strip successfully removed (instant relief!) and got a tetanus shot. I remember thinking, "damn, that was NOTHING!" I didn't even feel it. I wondered aloud why people dreaded a tetanus shot when it didn't even hurt. Yeah. I found out. Like the next morning when I couldn't lift my arm. Ugh. Miserable, miserable, incredibly achey & painful feeling in the entire arm that prohibited actually using the arm for 3 days. Bleah. But like I said, SUPER YAY on the good results!!!
